Need a repair?
Thursday, 25 Feb 2010 ~ Posted by Mook
One of the advantages of being a local shop, with a good local reputation, is people talk to you. Over the years we have received various recommendations for tradesmen, and about 4 years ago we were told about a company called “Appliance Works” based in Chingford.
Run by Laurence Gilder, Appliance works offer a comprehensive repair service for all makes of Kitchen appliance. Remarkably Laurence has NO call out charge! This means, if he comes out, and cannot repair your item, or he comes out and the cost to repair is too high…you pay nothing.
That’s almost unheard of in this industry, and despite not charging for his initial call, he’s ALWAYS polite, prompt and friendly. He never tries to flog a new machine if the old one is dead, he’ll never charge rip off prices for a repair and he’ll never repair a machine he thinks won’t last.
So, if you have an appliance that is out of warranty, DON’T call the manufacturer.
Ring Laurence Gilder at Appliance Works on 020 8926 3311 or 07865 058 560 and make sure you let us know how you get on. I’ve never heard a bad word yet!
Give him a call
