Today, DigitalUK (the governing body overseeing the digital switchover) have announced that there will be a major alteration to the Freeview (digital) service taking place on Wednesday 30^th September. The biggest upheaval is going to be down in Cornwall, but you’ll be pleased to hear London will be relatively unscathed by it! Basically, on the 30^th of September certain channels (most notably Channel 5) will change to a different frequency. This won’t make a huge amount of difference – Channel 5 will still be on number 5, for example – but it does mean that any Freeview equipment should be retuned, either after lunchtime on the 30^th or fairly soon after. It’s not as hard as it sounds, either. For equipment bought from us, I’ve set out a basic guide to retuning them, so just find your make of equipment then  click the link below.
